    Proclamation of 1763
    This act was put into place by the King. It was put in place so that the colonist wouldn't go past the Appalachian Mountains. The King didn't want them to go past them because they had just gotten out of war and didn't have much money to fight against anyone. The colonist didn't really see the need for the act, and they as wanted to try and get some more land, so they didn't listen and when past the mountains anyways.

    This act made the taxes on sugar and molasses very large.

    This made the colonist very mad because before the taxes on the sugar and molasses were not being unforced, and now they were now being unforced.
  • Currency Act

    Currency Act
    The Currency Act was when the British abolished the colonies paper money. This made the colonist mad because they did not have British currency, and it was even more difficult for them to pay taxes.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was when any form of documents needs a stamp so that it can be used. The colonists were very angry about this because they didn't have the money to pay for the stamps, but that so meant they could not use the documents they needed.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    This act made it so that the colonists would house, feed, and pay taxes for the British soldiers. The colonists were mad because they had to let people into their houses, and feed them when they didn't even have lots of food. They also had to pay taxes on yet another thing.
  • Declaratory Act

    The Declaratory Act is when the British repealed the Stamp Act.
    The colonists were mad because high taxes were put onto necessities.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The British taxed the goods that where being shipped into the colonies. The colonies didn't like this because the didn't have a say, and they felt that they have no power.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    This is when colonist throw snowballs, stones, and sticks at the soldiers. The soldiers fought back and 5 colonist died.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    This is when the sons of liberty fought back against the British and threw tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    This act rid of the proclamation act. This meant that the colonist could now go pass the mountains.
  • Intolerable Acts

    Intolerable Acts
    This was the British way of getting back at the colonist for going against them.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    This is when British could come in to the colonist homes. The colonist did not like this and felt that it was an invasion of their privacy and rights.
