James I becomes Ruler
He was a Scotish ruler for 20 years. He introduced the Divine right of the Kings which later on was used by his son, Charles. He was known as being a greedy, hatted, and an unappreciated king. Charles Becomes Ruler
Charles takes the place of hsi father, but isn't that different. He still believed in the Divine Right of the King, didn't work well with the Parliament due to his ignorance, and also lived his life on the extravagent side. He added new taxes which would give him money, so he didn't have to fuss with the Parliament for them. -
The Petition of Right
This was an attempt by the Parliament to get Charles I to stop his illegal activities in trade for money. The Long Parliament
After leaving the country of England he set foot to Scotland. He tried to make Scotland like England by trying to make them worship like th English. The Start of the Civil War
Once the Grand Remonstrance passed Parliament, the war officially started. Although it seemed like it was going well for the Parliament they found out that King Charles was planning a war against the Parliament. After being brutally defeated by the Puritans due to their navy, control of the rich parts of the country and alliance with the Puritans. A New Start
The House of Lords invited Charles II to become king of England. He had restored the Monarchy because the Parliament had reduced the amounf of power the King had. He was considered a fun-loving person but his life was often inflicted with scandals.
