SIG: The Proclamation of 1763 was important because it showed the colonists that they had to fight for their land if they wanted to gain freedom, and the land. It also sparked ideas for the westward expansion, but if they wanted the land, they would have to fight for it. -
Sugar Act
SIG: The Sugar Act was important because the acts caused more people to buy the English product and not molasses from the French West. It hurt the English West market and greatly impacted the production and sale of rum. -

Britain eventually passed more acts and laws and demanded that the colonies pay for the tea. The problem continued to grow, and eventually led to the American Revolutionary War in Boston. -

SIG: The Coercive Acts were important because the acts were a major factor in the reason for the American Revolution. They also were the reason for the First Continental Congress that organized the boycotts and protests to demand freedom. -

SIG: The First Continental Congress was important because it provided a basis for the Second Continental Congress to form. This led to the Declaration of Independence to be written and led to our freedom from Britain. The First Congress also helped plan boycotts and prepare colonies for attacks. -

SIG: The First Shots Fired at Lexington and Concord were important because they started the American Revolution and path to our freedom. The battles are also important because we proved that our country is strong, and that we could stand up for ourselves and fight for our freedom. -

SIG: The Second Continental Congress was important because it was the first actual form of government that the US had after gaining its independence from Britain. They also wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence. They also created armies, made strategies, and appointed diplomats for our country. -

SIG: The Declaration of Independence is important, because it gained us our freedom from Britain. It also told the people what their natural born rights were, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
