Declaration of Independence
Description:The D.O.I. is a document written by Thomas Jefferson, states that the 13 American colonies severed their political connections to Great Britain and their motivation to seek for independence.
Significant: It contains the ideals or goals of our nation, the complaints of the colonists against the British king, and the arguments that the colonists used to explain why they wanted to be free of British rule.

Description: the first ten amendments to the US Constitution, ratified in 1791 and guaranteeing such rights as the freedoms of speech, assembly, and worship.
Significant:It was important because it protects the individuals liberty.

Description:It was called “The War Between the States.” It was about the fight between the US and the Confederate States of America, a collection of eleven southern states that left the Union in 1860 and formed their own country in order to protect the institution of slavery.
Significant:It was the start when southern states seced from the Union after the election of Abraham Lincoln.

Description:It helped improve the lives of people suffering from the events of the depression.
Significant:The New Deal describes the program of US president Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933 to 1939 of relief, recovery, and reform and their goal is to solve the economic problems created by the depression of the 1930's.

Description:It is also called the Second World War.It was fight between the Allied powers of the United States, United Kingdom, and Soviet Union against the Axis powers of Germany, Italy, and Japan, with their respective allies.
Significant:US did not enter the war until after the Japanese bombed the American fleet in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941.

Description:The original World Trade Center was a large complex of seven buildings in Lower Manhattan, New York City, United States. It featured the landmark Twin Towers, which opened on April 4, 1973, and were destroyed in 2001 during the September 11 attacks.
Significant: This event is highly important due to creating highly security in the US. It caused many ports to have more security, it is also significant for people that died in the event.
