The Albany plan
Before a revolt could be successful the Colonies needed to be united. Benjamin Franklin tried to start the Albany Plan of Union, which was a yearly selected group (1 repsentatives from each colony) that would basically have the power that britain did( raise military, war and peace with Native Americans,and regulate trade with them etc. but the other conlnies and the Crown turned it down -
George the III
The colonist had become use to their own rules due to thte fact that Britain was over 3000 miles away, but when George the III came to power things changed -

This was yet another unfair tax on the use of stamps on all legal documents, certain business agreements, and on newspapers, This increased the anger the Colonist had against Britain -
Boston Tea Party
In protest of the Tea Act (1 of the most memorable), another unfair tax imposed on Tea, a group of men dressed as Native Americans and dumped tea over board into the Boston Harbor -
Quartering Act
Yet Another unfair act the made it legal for soilders to live in your house at no cost and without permission -
Bunker Hill
The same day that George Washington is commissioned, British and American forces fight in the first major battle of the Revolutionary War in Bunker Hill, Massachusetts. -
