Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was caused by angry partriots protesting about paying tax on tea. Patriots dressed as native americans and spilled many boxes of tea in to the ocean. The Tea Act stated that everyone must pay tax on tea, this was called taxation without representation. -
Beginning of the American Revolution
The American Revolution was against the colonists and Great Britain. It imapcted alot on the colonists becasue they were finally free after so many years of being ruled by Great Britain. Also, the American Revolution encouraged the French people to revolt against their king. -
America finally free from Great Britain
The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson on June 11-28. It was a symbol of liberty and freedom from Great Britain. The Declaration of Independence also meant that the colonists had more rights and weren't going to be ruled by one person. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain. This treaty was signed by John Adams, Benjamin Franklin and John Jay. The Treaty of Paris recognized the colonies as the United States of America. -
Constitution is written
The Federal Conventionmet at the state house to revise the Articles of Confederation. Once it was revised it brought in a whole new government to America. it also impacted the world becasue it was the first constitution and first democracy. -
French Revolution Begins
The French were tired of having one ruler, so they revolted. Another reason on why the French people revolted was because they wanted more rights. This impacted on the french alot because the French people regained their rights. -
The War of 1812
After many years of fighting during the revolution and many years of peace after the revolution, another war began afterwards. This war was called the War of 1812 , which was caused by Britain seizing American ships. The war lasted three years and was ended by signing the Treaty of Ghent in 1815. -
World War I
World War I, also known as Great War involoving the two opposite allies, the Triple Entente (Britain, France, and Russia) and the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy). The war lasted four years and many people were killed because of the large amount of new weapons were made. -
Influenza Pandemic
The influenza pandemic killed many people, even more then the people that died during World War I. The disease spread through North America, Africa, and Asia. This disease caused the average life span in U.S was depressed by 10 years. -
The Treaty of Versailles
The Treaty of Versailles was a peace treaty that was signed after World War I ended. It was also signed after the death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. the treaty of versilles didn't end the actual, but it ended the war between Germany and the Allied Powers.
