In 1905, Albert Einstein created the theory of relativity which was the idea about the interrelationships between time and space and between energy and matter. In the 1920s, Freud's theories had developed widespread influence.

After the war prices went down on automobiles so it was more common for people to have them. Airplanes made it faster and easier to travel far distances. Movies made it it easier for people to have good and clean entertainment which got their minds off of all of the bad stuff. Radio gave people news at the time it happened instead of the next day on a news paper.
