Cause - The Polynesian Expansion was caused by the hunger some explorers had to expand and discover new land.
Effect - The Polynesian Expansion developed a flourishing culture across the pacific ocean. -

Leif Erikson reaches North America
Cause: HIs discovery of Canada was an accidental finding as he was on his way back to Greenland when his boat got blown in the wrong direction and he came across Canada.
Effect: The discovery and settlement of Canada and America. -

Battle of Hastings
Cause – King Edward had died and the heir to the throne had been chosen as William of Normandy, but on his deathbed he changed his mind and crowned Harold of Wessex king. William decided to take the throne of England by force. Effect – The effect of the invasion was the near-total elimination of the old English aristocracy and the loss of English control over the Catholic Church in England. It also had a lot of effect on the English language today. -

Cause –The cause of the First Crusade was 3000 Christians being murdered in Jerusalem which cause a series of events causing the crusade.
Effect – The effect of the First Crusade was the establishment of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. -

Death of Minamato Yorimoto
Cause: The war between Minamto Yoritomos and the Taira Kiyomori armies was a major civil war and continued for 5 years. Yoritomo became the leader of a new society.
Effect: Minamato no Yoritomo died in 1199, suffering from a proposed serious illness. This made his grandson believe his uncle Sanetomo because he belived that he was the cause of Minamatos death. -

Mongol Empire
Cause- There was feuding between the nomadic groups of the steppes of Central Asia.
Effect- The Mongol empire caused a large army to enforce strict laws of behaviour, trading was encouraged and the economy was improved. -

The Mongols try to invade Japan
Cause- Once Kublai had all of Korea under his power he wanted more power therefor leading the mongol army into Japan. Effect- 13000 mongol soldiers died, and 200 ships sunk. -

Cause- The cause of the outbreak in the middle east was the tradesmen bringing rodents and or fleas from a country to another.
Effect- The outbreak effected many things the main effects were that prices ad wages roseca and it caused people to not believe in religion. e. g. Is it really protecting them? -

Killing of Jews during the Black Death
Cause- The English believed that the Jews poisoned the cities water source.
Effect- The effects of this massacre include the decrease of the Jewish community leaving many areas of Europe unowned and they turned in to wilderness. -

Cause- The cause of the recurrence was a result of bad living conditions, bad healthcare and horrible hygiene.
Effect- The effect of the recurences was that more people ended up dying and added to the death toll. -

Peasant's Revolt in England
Cause- The cause of the revolt were many, some of them are the prices rising when the wages werent and a law was included that banned peasants from claiming more money if there was less workers.
Effect - Some of the effects included the lords respect for peasants, parliament gave up trying to control the wages of peasants and this started the breakdown of the Fuedal system. -

Gutenburg invents the Printing Press
Cause: Gutenberg invented the printing press because he had just lost a tonne of money and he needed money to pay off his debts.
Effect: The device made it possible for the first time for the common man, woman and child to have access to books, which meant they would for the first time have unprecedented ability to accumulate knowledge. -

Cause- The French king had a claim on the Kingdom of Naples and he wanted to enforce that.
Effect - The French invasion of Italy triggered a Political Decline. -

Christopher Columbus Dies in Valladolid
Cause- The cause of Columbus' death was the terminal illness he had, named 'Reiter's Syndrome' which led to a heart attack causing the eventual death.
Effect - Cristopher Columbus' effect on the world was monumental, many believed that he was the founderer of America and America is now the most dominant continent in the world. -

Cause: Two clans wanted to control central Japan so they had the battle.
Effect: As a result of the battle, the arcabuceros were considered as an important and decisive military factor in the battle -

Oda Nobunaga dies
Cause- His horrible treatment to others around him. Effect- Nobunaga laid down the foundation stone for the future centralized japan. -
The Great Plague of London
Cause- The cause of the plague was the poor hygiene of the English in that time.
Effect- The population was largely decreased and the Rebuilding of London Act in 1666 occured. -
Commodore Matthew Perry arrives in Japan
Cause: Matthew Perry was sent to Japan because his authorities wanted it as a "coaling base". Also the United States wanted to open Japan to make sure shipwrecked sailors in Japan got good treatment. An added cause was trading.
Effect: Large amounts of foreign money was brought in which disrupted the country’s currency. The Shogun failed to end the inflation of the foreign money being brought in. This led to the fall of the Tokugawa Shogunate. -
Khmer Empire
Cause- The cause of the Khmer Empire was to feed Jayavarman II’s greed of power and also so he could rule over Laos, Thailand and Southern Vietnam.
Effect- The effect of the Khmer Empire was the establishment of Angkor, which is one of the biggest urban settlements of the modern world. -
The Vikings
Cause- A fast population growth.
Effect- the Vikings established trading routes and trading throughout England. They also introduced things like axes and other dangerous weapons into the world.
