  • Japanese Invasion of Manchuria (Manchukuo)

    Manchuria was invaded ty the Kwantung Army of the Empire of Japan immediately following the Mukden Incident. The Japanese established a puppet state called Manchukuo, and their occupation lasted until the end of World War II.
  • Hitler made Chancellor of Germany

    He is the head of the government of Germany. The official title in German is Bundeskanzler, sometimes shortened to Kanzler. When Hitler became Cahancellor of Germany it was a point which historians agree marks the beginning of Nazi Germany. He began to change the nature of the Chancellor, by giving it full legislative powers for a period of 4 years.

    Referred to as the Night of Broken Glass or Reichskristallnacht, Pogromnacht, and Novembe rpograme, was a pogrome against Jews and their property throughout Nazi Germany and parts of Austria, carried out by SA paramilitary forces and non-Jewish civilians. They smashed Jewish Synagogues, buildings and Jewish owned stores.
  • Invasion of Poland

    The Invasion of Poland was also known as the September Campaign or 1939 Defensive War or the Fourth Partition of Poland in Poland. They wanted to get us when we were not expecting it.the attack was intended as a preventive action in order to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from interfering with military actions the Empire of Japan was planning in Southeast Asia against overseas territories of the UK, US.
  • Bataan Death March

    This began on April 9,1942. It was the forcible transfer by the Imperial Japanese Army of 60,000-80,000 Filipino and American prisoners of war after the three-month Battle of Bataan in the Philippines during WW2. Approximately 2,500 to 10,000 Filipino and 100-650 American prisoners of war died before they could reach their destination at Camp O'Donnell.
  • Battle of Midway

    It was a naval battle of World War II during June of 1942. American planes based on land and on carrieres decisively defeated a Japanese fleet on its way to invade the Midway Islands in the Pacific. The Midway Islands was a site of an important United States naval base. It was the most improtant naval battles of World War II.
  • D-Day

    The day on which the Allied forces invaded France during World War II. The day of the Normandy landings initiating the Western Allied effort to liberate mainland Europe from Nazi occupation during Wolrd War II. They designate the day of the operation when the day has not yet been determined or where secrecy is essential.
  • Battle of the Bulge

    It was a Battle of the Ardennes Bulge. It was a battle during World War 2. Von Rundstedt launched a powerful countraffensive in the forest at Ardennes and caught the Allies by surprise. The Germans were repulsed by Jan 1945.
  • Yalta Conference

    It was a conference held in yalta where Roosevelt, Stalin and Churchill planned the final stages of World War II and agreed to the territorial division of Europe. They set up the United Nations and started Democratic Elections and started the Unconditional surrender of Axis Powers.
  • V-E Day

    V-E Day was the public holiday celebrated on May 8,1945 to mark the date when the World War ll Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender of the armed forces of Nazi Germany. It was also the end of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich and ending the war in Europe. On the 9th of May was the formal surrender of the occupying German forces in the Channel Islands.
  • The Bombing of Hiroshima

    The atomic bombings of the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan were conducted by the United States during the final stages of World War II in 1945. The two events are the only use of nuclear weapons in war to date.
