The Japanese Naval and Air force attacked the US naval base in Pearl Harbour. The attack was planned to weaken the US naval force to prevent them from interfiering in Japanese Naval missions. After the Phillipines fell to the Japanese, circa 76000 American and Phillipino prisoners were transferred over 80 miles. Wide ranging physical abuse and murder was commited by the Japanese military. -
Battle of Midway
The battle of Midway was a turning point of the war in the pacific. It was fought between June 4th and 7th. The Japanese military wanted to attack again to demoralize the USA and weakend their Naval Power. American code cracker were able to find out the time and location of the attack and Japan was defeated greatly. -

Italy surrenders caused by to much pressure of the Allies and the Invasion on Sizilia. Italy was also more instabil since Mussolini abdicated in July. -
Battle of Normandy
The landing of Normandy was one of the biggest ever planned and realized. The Allies build a dropped parachutetroopers in the inland of France while the real battle took place on the Coast of Normandy. The Aliies were able to invade the coast and rush forward into france. -

The battle lasted for 6 days and on August 25th the occupying German garnison surrendered. Paris was in allied hands again. -
Battle of Bulge
The battle lasted for 9 days and was fought in the densely forested mountain region in Wallonia, Belgium on the old WW I battle fields. The battle was the last big German offense. The Allies ended the battle with a strategic victory. -
