This is the second and last major phase of the Russian Revolution of 1917. In this revolution the Bolshevik Party seized power in Russia, this introduced the Soviet Regime. Technically, it started on November 7 and ended on November 8, but on the Julian calendar it begins on October 25 and ends on October 26, and is therefore referred to as the October revolution.

Stalin takes over Russia

In 1912, Joseph Stalin was appointed to serve on the first Central Committee of the Bolshevik Party by Lenin, who was then in exile in Switzerland. After Lenin died, Stalin came to power.
