The Japanese planes attacked Pearl Harbor American naval bases in Hawaii. The United States and Japan wanted war, war was then declared by Japan to solve economic and demographic issues with China. This lead to thousands of deaths and wounded people. -

One of the largest military planning. A few hundred thousand of American, British, and Canadian landed on a beach stretch on France's Normandy region. The allies won freedom of Western Europe from nazi Germany's power. -

Americans fought to beat the Germans. The allied armies were split by a blitzkrieg attack. The allies underestimated the Ardennes which was a deadly and dark battle. -
Battle of Iwo Jima
The U.S. marine divisions landed on the island and fought for underground places. This occurred for the need of a Japanese base. The marines won and put the American flag on their territory of victory. -

The Soviet's, Canadian, British, French, and American troops liberated concentration camps and found thousands of sick and injured prisoners. Nourishment and help was given but most were to weak to stay alive. -
Dropping of the atomic bomb
American scientists developed atomic weapons. The American B- 29 was the first bomb dropped over Hiroshima. This was the end of world war 2. The atomic bombing killed 80 thousand people. -
VJ Day
The surrender of nazi Germany was made and a celebration to the end of world war 2 was in Tokyo.
