    France declared war on Germany for invading Poland. Germany sieged France & pummeled the French army. The French Govt. lost control of Paris, & the Germans flooded into the city. French Govt. relocated in Vichy, & Paris was governed by French officials approved by Germany & by the German military. The flood caused a sequence of shortages, & humiliation.     America was supplying the United Kingdom to help them fight Nazis. The bombing was a surprise attack by Japan on America against the naval base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on the Sunday of December, 7, 1941. America was neutral, but Japan's attack infuriated America to the point they entered into World War II the following day. Japan made a huge enemy. Isoroku Yamamoto, the planner of the attack, said “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

This conference also led to building the jew concentration camps. This led to six million jews perishing.

    D-Day - The invasion on Nazi-Infested Normandy. It was the largest invasion in history. It was done to stop the Nazi Regime. Almost 130,000 troops came from the United States, England and Canada. Some were by land, some through air, and some by sea, hundreds of thousands killed on this day. My Great Uncle Preston actually fought on D-Day. He came in by the sea. He survived D-Day but he passed away about twelve years ago. The aftermath left the nazi regime so much closer to losing the war.

    Liberation of concentration camps
    The first encounter with major concentration camp was with the Soviets at the camp Majdanek which is close to Lublin and Poland. later on Soviet troops found the concentration camp, Auschwitz, and so on and so on. Originally, liberation of the camps wasn't the allies primary objective. Canadian, US, Soviet, and British troops freed prisoners, provided them with medical support, food, and they also gathered evidence for war crimes trial.
