    Japanese Invasion of China
    The Japanese kept attempting to expand and invade and they continued to do this when the Japanese invaded China and viciously attacked them. The Japanese had many reasons for attack and invasion, one being that they wanted more land, territory, and control. After this attack, pacts were created and agreed upon.   • Germany's Invasion of Poland

    Germany's Invasion of Poland
    After the soviet union was in order and organized, Germany invaded Poland. They invaded Poland and it started war because from there, 2 days later, France and Britain fired back which started yet again, another war. This became a war between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.     Blitzkrieg is a military term that is a method of warfare through the source of land forces and firepower. The Blitzkrieg was aimed at Holland, France, and Belgium.   • Fall of Paris

    Fall of Paris
    Germany's mix of tanks,planes in the air,and overall military made Germany superior over other countries and they were dominating. Despite everyone else's forces and power, Germany still dominated and took over Holland and soon got to Paris. Because Germany felt superior, they thought to continue to keep getting land so when they invaded France and Paris, it wasn't hard to take over.     Operation Barbarossa
    When Hitler invaded Russia it was called Operation Barbarossa. The overall goal was for Germans to take over and to use the other people there to do their labor and so they could use the resources and materials that were there. Pacts were signed for strategic reasons and it actually became one of the biggest warfare invasions.     Pearl Harbor
    Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack by the Japanese on the United States Pacific fleet in Hawaii.Japan fighter planes descended on the base where they began to destroy what they had access to.More than 2,000 people died and many were left wounded but the destroyed resources and materials were quickly replaced and repaired.The US then asked congress to declare war.     Wannsee Conference
    The Nazi party and German government leaders met up in the wealthy area of Berlin which was Wannsee and held a meeting. The meeting was for "The Final Solution" which was code for their planned mass murder of Jews that they kept secret from the world. They discussed liquidation, extermination, and how all camps would be hidden and ran and it was all a lie and secrets that they would later use to brainwash all people of Germany (http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwtwo).
  • Battle of Stalingrad

    Battle of Stalingrad
    This was a violent military campaign between Russia, Germany, and those involved in the Axis powers. It was one of the longest, largest, messiest, and bloodiest battles known today. Women helped dig trenches and everyone seemed to be involved in this battle. More than 2 million troops fought in close areas and the Russians were suffering heavy losses and by the end, Stalingrad was nothing but ruins (http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwtwo).
  • Bataan Death March

    Bataan Death March
    Over 70,000 troops on Bataan were forced to march many many miles to prison camps They marched in the heat and suffered conditions by guards. Many were starved, beat, and harassed and ended up dead and survivors were put in camps where they starved or died from the conditions or treatment (http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwtwo).
  • Battle of Midway

    Battle of Midway
    The turning point in the Pacific war came with the American naval victory in the Battle of Midway. US sea-based aircraft destroyed four Japanese carriers and a cruiser and it was a victory. This was 6 months after Pearl Harbor so this was a big deal for a victory. Because depicted codes, the US was able recognize the Japanese plans of their aircraft and caused major damage to their military.   • Operation Gomorrah

    Operation Gomorrah
    This attack was way more intense and severe than any single allied air attack in world war two. It was a coordinated bombing assault. The allied bombing of Hamburg during World War II included numerous attacks on civilians and civic infrastructure.   • D-Day

    D-Day
    More than 100,000 American, British and Canadian troops landed on five beaches along the coast of France’s Normandy region. The invasion was one of the largest military assaults and it required lots of planning through for accuracy.   • Battle of the Bulge

    Battle of the Bulge
    Their objective was to split the allied armies using Blitzkrieg like they had previously before. There was a shortage of fuel and it was cold and snowy outside that could help Germany succeed.     This was a plan created but never implemented. The plan showed a massive attack on Berlin that could cause many casulties and shatter German morale. The plan was consistently reconsidered but always seen as impractical and a bad idea (http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/worldwars/wwtwo).

    Battle of Iwo Jima
    This was a military campaign between the US marines and the army of Japan.American forces invaded the island of Iwo Jima and thousands of Japanese on the island were killed after the 5 weeks. Because how destroyed Japan's military, bases, and airfare were the Americans thought it would only last a few days but it did not.   • Battle of Okinawa

    Battle of Okinawa
    This was one of the last major and bloodiest battles of World War 2. The Navy, U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps troops landed on the Pacific island of Okinawa for a final attack on Japan. Everyone had expected it to be worse than D-Day but they could've swam there because of how unprepared and slow moving Japan was.Resources slowly started to disappear however and so they secured airfields and it led to a Japan defeat.   • VE Day

    VE Day
    Victory in Europe was celebrated by Britain and the Allies. Hitler had committed suicide and after all the fighting, bombing raids, and war this was a time of celebrating their victory. People were all gathered on the streets celebrating, hanging banners mingling, and dancing with each other.     On this day, Japan announced that they were surrendering to the allies and the war then ended.     Hitler, the Germans, the Third Reich were committing major crimes by keeping Jews in labor and concentration camps with poor conditions leading if not all, many to their deaths.
