    Japanese marched into China, city of Nanking. It lasted 6 weeks. The Japanese knew of the invasion and was expecting an easy victory. The stubborness and resitance of the Chinese made the battle significantly difficult and lasting longer than thought. The outcome was the Westerner's were considered heroes of Nanking. They were very surprised of how cruel people could be.

Over 2000 soldiers died. Days later allies declared war on the U.S., then 2 years after America joined the war.

    US had defeated Japan. They planned ambush of few remaining aircraft carries. They had permanent damage on their Navy. After their defenseive destruction, they then turned to start offensive and fighting back. The Navies were inducted in fleet engagement after the masive destruction of Pearl Harbor and many, many deaths.

    Battle of Okinawa
    Involving over 280,000 troops of the U.S. Tenth Army vs. the Japanese Army consisting of only 130,000 soldiers. Japan lost a significant amount of their troops. 14,000 had died. Instead of showing resistance, they started up a defense plan to help them gain ground and time. Both generals died.

    President Truman's attempt to invade Japan. The dropping of the bomb resulted in many American tragedies. They wanted the weapon to be created in order to end the war for once and for all. The bomber's name was Enola Gay. The bomber dropped 5 tons over the city of Hiroshima and killed many.
