Germany, a new source of power in Europe, was looking for other countries to further their power to make them unstopable. -

Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy are the countries who form this Alliance system. The Triple Alliance is also know as the Central Powers. -

He was the heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne and was murderd by the Serbian Secret Society, Black Hand. The Astrio-Hungarian government sent a list of ultimatums. -

Austrio-Hungary declares war on Serbia, starting World War I. -
Turkey enters war with the Central Powers
Germany needed more men and Turkey felt they would win so, they joined forces. -
Italy declares war on the Centeral Powers
Even though Italy was allies of Germeny and Austia-Hungry, Italy was able to side with the allies. It was an offensive war on the centeral powers side, Italy did not have to support them. -
Romania enters the war joining with the Allies
On August 1st, 1916 Romania entered the war. Entering the war, they decided to join the Allied Powers. -
United States joins the Allies
The Germans had restarted unrestricted submarine warfare again, after assuring the United States they would not. After a couple of United States commercial boats got sunk because of this, President Wilson declares war against Germany. -
Greece enters war with Allied Powers
Greece joined forces with the Allies on June 27th, 1917. -
A cease fire is called by the Centeral Powers
Germany was out of resourses, and was tired, so they signed an armistance with the Allied leaders.
