First Saturday Surprise
Hitler announces the first Saturday suprise on March 8th 1935. This first suprise was that Germany was rebuilding the air force and reinstating the draft. This is important becuase it starts a string of suprises that eventually start World War 2. -
Hitler invades Austria
Hitler invades Austria without anyone defending the nation. Hitler has a vote and 99.7% of the people approve of Germany. This is important because Hitler is taking more land and is gaining power. -
Hitler targets Czechoslovakia
In sometime during 1938 Hitler targets Czechoslovakia and trys to get them to give up the land. Hitler will declare war if the land is not given over. This is important because Hitler is taking more land and driving Britain and France closer to war. -
Hypocritical nations
Hitler told the Reichstag that other nations were being hypocritical. This means that Hitler is angering other nations. This is important becuase it is driving other nations closer to the war. -
Germany is "attacked" by Poland
Germany takes prisoners from concentraion camps and dresses them in Polish uniforms and has them fake attack Germany. This was done to make it look like Germany had a reason for attcking Poland other than for gaining power. This is important because Britain and France swore to help Poland so this starts World War 2. -
Threats to German security can vanish without a trace
Many Poles were sent to concetration camps and Hitler allowed anyone who is a threat to the German Society to be killed. People can now kill anyone without getting in trouble. This is important because Germany will now start killing people more and more people. -
France falls
France falls to Germany and there now is only Britain left in Western Europe to fight them. The Nazis now almost have control over all of Western Europe.This is important because the Nazis are now extremly powerful and only Britain is left to fight them. -
Germany invades Russia
Hitler orders the invasion of Russia to destroy them permanently. Germany could eliminate one of its only enimies and take all of western Russia. This is important because no one would be left to challenge the Germans. -
The United States enter the War
The americans declare war on Japan and a Japanese ambassador asks for Russias help. Hitler is warned by his advisors not to help but Hitler ignores them and declares war on the United States. This is important because now three powerful nations-Britain, The United States, and the Soveit Union are against Germany.
