Hitler gains control of western europe
At this time, Hitler's soldiers marched into Austria. The other surrounding counrties ignored this, but when Hitler wanted more, they could not avoid war any longer. This was a good effort on holding back from war in my opinion, but Hitler had taked it too far for anyone to ignore. It was a good idea to try and stop all of those bad things from happening. -
Hitler invades Poland
Hitler invaded Poland at this time and soon after, war was anounced on Germany and World War ll began. This was, in my opinion, a mistake on Hitler's part. He was having enough trouble as it was with his own country. People were being killed for no good reason. All of those Jews were suffering and just because he hated them. That is definitly not a good reason for torture. -

Germany invades the Solviet Union
Hitler turned against his ally and invaded this country. Later on, Germany was vulnerable to attacks by the Solviet Union and Hitler was regretting his actions. I think Hitler should have thought a little further ahead into what could happen later on. He was in a truce with this country! Why should he destroy the safety of his people to get a little more land? -
Japan Attacks our Pearl Harbor
Japan had a surprise attack on Pearl Habor at this time and killed many Americans. This attack was lanched through the air and sank or damaged the U.S boats. This day was devastating to many and will not be forgotten quickly. I wish Japan hadn't done it so we might not have joined that terrible war. -
The Allies invade Europe on D-Day
The allied forces landed and invaded with success. By September, they were at Germany's border. Germany was being attacked from everywhere and the defense fell. On April 30, Hitler had killed himself. There were many bad things he had done and he hurt so many people in a way that they would never forget. I think he had it coming. -
The USA drops the atomic bomb on Japan
The atomic bomb was released on a city in Japan called, Hiroshima. This was the most dangerous weapon of it's time. Later, they droped another bomb in Japan in a city called Nagasaki. Many were killed and Japan surredered. I don't think it was nessesary, but it was effective.
