In 1941, Japan attacks Pearl Harbor. The attack is lead by Yamamoto. Airplanes bomb Pearl Harbor and it leads to many casualties. Japan knew that if United States got invovled in the war, they could attack Japan from Pear Harbor. Pearl Harbor was the dagger at Japan's throat. -

In May of 1945, Germany surrenders to the Allies. The surrender was signed in Reims, France. The day after was declared VE day in many European countries. VE stands for Victory in Europe. -

During August-September in 1945, the Allies used atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bomb was developed during the top secret "Manhattan Project." Albert Einstein came to the government with the idea to split an atom, and he assumed Hitler may already be working on it. v
