  • Germany invades Poland

    It was Sep. 01,1939 when some 1.5 Germans troops invade Poland. Germans Luftwaffe bombed Polish airfields. Britain and France were not convinced of the fact that Adolf Hitler declared the massive invasion. On Sep. 03, 1939, they had declared war on Germany, begin World War II. In Hitler's view point, when the overthrow of Poland would bring living space for all the German people.

  • Germany captured Paris

    On June 14,1940 when Germany had invaded France to captured Paris. Parisians had awaken to a terrible sound from the German loudspeakers that a regulation was being imposed for 8p.m .That same evening German's troops entered to occupy Paris. America would enter the war and come to its aid to have peace. By the time German tanks had been inside of the Paris property about 2 millions of Parisians had already left.

  • Battle of Britain

    On Sep. 07,1940, Germany had bombed London therefore the Battle of the Britain began. About 300 Germans bombers raised London in what would be the first of 57 back-to-back nights of bombing. The blitzkrieg would continue until May 1941. In 1940, during that summer and the fall German and British air forces clashed in the skies over the United Kingdom.

    The Lend Lease Act happen on March 11,1941, a compromise that allowed the United states to provide aid the England while avoiding the World War II. It gave the president permission to transfer arms or any other defense materials.By allowing the transfer of materials without repayment to Britain,China, the Soviet Union and other countries. The act permitted the United States to support its war interest without being overextended in the battle.

  • Operation Barbarossa

    On June 22,1941, Hitler launched his armies eastward in a massive invasion of the Soviet Union. 150 divisions, and three thousand tanks smashed across the frontier into Soviet territory. The invasion covered a front from the North Cape to the Black Sea, a distance of two thousand miles. Barbarossa was the crucial in World War II. Its failure forced Nazi Germany to fight a two-front war against a coalition possessing immensely superior resources.

    On Dec. 07,1941, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. Japan had launched a surprise attack on American soil at Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was near Honolulu,Hawaii, is a U.S. naval base. It was Sunday just before 8 a.m. hundreds of Japanese fighter planes dropped on the base. More than 2,400 Americans died in the attack , even civilians and another 1,000 people were wounded.
