Nazi meeting that settled the "Jewish question" by making genocide official German policy. government officials gathered to discuss what they call "Final solution of the Jewish question". the final solution was a code name for a carefully planned destruction of all european jews. German jews were deported in great numbers to the ghettos in the east and then murdered. -

British bombers attack, Hamburg by night in Operation Gomorrah, while Americans bomb it by day. -
D-Day (Normandy Invasion - 1944)
The invasion lasted from June 1944 to August 1944 and developed in the aliied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany's control. D-Day happened because the allies expected that the Germans were awaiting an allied attack at the closest point to settle Europe- the Pay de Calais. But their plan was most likely going to turn out to be an attack on the beaches of Normandy, which would involve a much more longer crossing of the English Channel. -

This battle was the final Nazi offensive against the Allies in World War II. The fight was a last ditch effort by Hitler to divide the Allies in two in their drive towards Germany. His main intention for all this was to destroy their capability to supply themselves. -
Operation Thunderclap
This event was being considered to happen for some time now. The Allied command prepared to bomb the eastern most cities of Germany to disrupt the transport infrastructure behind what was coming in the eastern front. -
Battle of Iwo Jima (1945)
The event Battle of Iwo Jima had one third of all Marine losses that occured in World War II. It was the main large engagement of the war in which Allied forces suffered more loss in family and friends than their opponent. By 1945, the Allies were already gaining ground in the pacific theater. -
