Japan invaded Manchuria directly follwing the Mukden incident. The reasoning for the invasion was because Japan felt that they were becoming crowded and Manchuria offered a lot of land and space. -

This agreement stated that the Nazis were permitted to annex portions of Czechoslovakia. They us appeasement here becasue they tell Hitler that he can take these portions and then he will leave them alone. -

This is a treaty between the Nazis and the Soviet Union stating that they will not engage in military action against eachother. -

Hitler sends troops into Poland by land and air to regain lost territory and to gain ultimate power. This invasion is known as the beginning of World War II. -

Hitler ordered the killings of the sick and disabled. The Nazis euthanasia program eliminated "life that didnt deserve life". -

This was an aggreement between Germany, Italy, and Japan signed in Berlin creating the Axis of Evil. -

Hitler orders all Jewish people to wear yellow star which also indicates where Jews are allowed to be. -

This was a suprise attack from Japan to the United States, which brought the U.S. into the war. -
U.S. declares war on Japan
The United States declared war on Japan in response to the suprise attack on Pearl Harbor. This is when the U.S. enters the war officially. -
The Battle of Midway
This was a naval battle on the Pacific Theater front, when the U.S. defeated Japan only six months after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. -
Battle of Stalingrad
The Nazis bomb the soviet city of Stalingrad, leading to this war being known as one of the bloodiest wars in history. -
Italian government surrenders
Italy signed an armistice with the Allied powers causing there surrender to be final. -
D-Day
Officially named Operation Overlord. This was the day that the Allied powers invade Western Europe which was then liberated and taken from Germans ruling. -
Liberation of Paris
The Allied powers liberated Paris from Germany's ruling. This can be calld the Battle for Paris. -

Winston Churchill, Franklin Roosevelt, and Josph Stalin attended this conference, where they discussed post-war Europes reorganization. -

Hitler was warned that the Russians were only a day or so away from where the Germans were located so Hitler decided to commit suicide rather than be killed by the Russians. -
V-E Day
This day marks the Allies victory in Europe and announce Germany's surrender. -

The U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima in Japan. -
Bombing of Nagasaki
Three days after the bombing of Hiroshima, the U.S. dropped bombs on Nagasaki in Japan. This event is the ending of World War II.
