Ghandi was influenced by Satygraha and lead peaceful protests while the Indian's right to peacefully assemble was taken from them. He made his own clothing and also lead the Salt March to boycott British goods and salt. -

The Greek and Britsish were attacking the remains of the Ottoman Empire (Turkey). Mustafa Kemal Lead the Nationalist party of the Turks and gained them independence. -
MaoZedong heads Long March
The Nationalists and Communists of China were fighting. The Nationalists chased the Communists for 6000 miles throughout China. Mao barely "heads" the Long March because he simply flew over the people until they stopped to rest. He supposedly was "swimming in a sea of peasants" but really he was flying over and then landing in a sea of peasants.t
