The goal of the Japanese was to cripple the U.S. completely, but what happend was we started to mass produce weapons of war. They came at us in 2 waves, and the the first wave was comprised of 183 fighters, heavy bombers, and dive bombers. The second was never launched, but they sank the major battleships and airfields. On the bright side, the carriers were never docked in the harbor. -

The march of Japanese army through the Philippine Islands cities comitting rape, assault, and pillage. The Chinese will end up fighting for the allies. -

This battle was the turning point in the Pacific theatre. It showed the American Navy that they can match the might of the Japanese Navy. -
D-Day
This was a plan to open a new front in the West by the invasion on the beaches on France by the use of an amphibious assault. We knew which beaches to use, one obvious, and the other not so. One was the Pale Cale, and the other was Normandy. We chose Normandy, and to fool the Germans into thinking we were to use the Pale Cale. -

This was the Island, part of the navy's plan, to support the bombing of Japan by air. The navy's plan was to island-hop, with the support of the Marine amphibious assault on the islands, to have enough distance from Japan to bomb them. From Iwo Jima, our bombers didn't have the range to bomb the Island of Japan. -

This day was because of the suicide of Adolf Hitler. The suiside of Adolf Hitler led to the end of the war in the east and to the Nuremberg Trials. -

Dropping of the atomic bombs
This happend in the air by a B-24 flying at an altitude of 10,000 ft, it ensured the end of world war 2 by forcing the Japanese to surrender, and it started the atomic age. -
VJ Day
This day was the end of the war. What happend was the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that forced Japan to surrender.
