This the surrender of the peninsula on the main Phillppine Island to Japanese.Us troops surrendered.The Japanese rounded them and then forced them to march65 miles.Many died because of the brutality of their captors who starved and beat them.America decided to avenge by attacking the Island of Lyte.Marchers made them trek in intense heat and were subjected to harsh treatment by Japsnese guards. -
