After Germany attacked neutral Belgium to get to France. Britain ended declaring war on Germany. Now another country is in the war. -

Germany's plan for the war. First part of it was to attack France from the west. And then attack Russia from the east. -
Western Front
Mostly in France, near Germany border. 500 miles of trenches in France. Ended up being a stalemate. -
Eastern Front
Along Russia's borders with Germany and Austria Hungary. Fewer trenches, but more brutal. Russia was always short on supplies. -

Every country involved in the war devoted its total resources to the war effort. Governments took over factories. Lots of propaganda.
