After the Germans learned about he messenger pigeons, they started to train hawks to kill pigeons.

    It was known as the longest battle in modern history. Germany plan was to gain the upper hand on France. Erich Von Falkenhayn the Chief of General staff was leading Germany into battle. The battle ended on December 15 because of winter conditions leaving Germany´s plan to fail. France lost 377,000 and Germany lost 330,000 men.

    The Battle of Cambrai began on November all the way through December. Britain was trying to find a area to help succeed to gain an advantage. it was the first battle used with tanks.
