Pizarro invades the Inca Empire
Francisco Pizarro arrived in Peru November 15, with approximately 180 men ad 37 horses. He met with Atahualpa, the Emperor of the Incas, and tried to introduce the religion of Catholicism by handing Atahualpa the Bible, he had never seen a Bible in his life so he put it up to his ear and waited for the book to give him the answers he wanted, after not receiving answers he threw the Bible to the ground in frustration. Pizarro then, proceeded to kill him. -
