The Zhou dynasty lasted for a long time. During the Zhou Dynasty's rule, there was one king that always lit fires saying that invaders were coming. The army raced there to the kings side to protect him, but there was never an invader. One day, invaders really did come but no one came to help because they thought that it was another trick. The Zhou's lost but still lived to rule. -

There is a legend that there were two sons of Aeneas where born and at birth thrown into a river. From there a she-wolf found them and raised them. Later a shepherd adopted them they grew up to be men. Remus and Romulus found a place that would soon be known as Rome. They fought over the land and Romulus killed Remus and named the land after him; Rome. -

The Persions were, at first, an unorganized people group. Then one day, a new emperor rose. His name was Cyrus, soon to be known as Cyrus the Great. Cyrus the Great and Darius the first helped bring the Persions together and helped them become a strong empire. Later the Persions would fight the Greek and win. But that is much later. -

The Roman people began to complain to the government because they did not know who had which responsibility. The government saw this and was afraid of an upraise so they created something called the 'TRIPARTITE'. The tripartite was a system made to give each person a section of a three part job that would then be their responsibility. From then on the country of Rome's argument slowly decreased in a long period of time. -

Euclid is a teacher that lived in Alexandra, Egypt. He was a teacher that taught math, astronomy and music. He is said to be the worlds greatest mathematician. What happened to Einstein? His most famous work was when he made up geography; The study of flat shapes and lines. -

Manufacturing in China was popular. The Chinese manufactured iron swords and armor that helped with the wars China had. Because the Chinese were so good at making stuff with iron, farmers got iron tools that helped with their farming. This was only one of the many advantages China had. -

Wui di took over the throne in 140 BC. Wui di then decided that he wanted a new government so he raised taxes, made everyone give him a fraction of their wheat to him, and he took land from the lords. Once all this was done, he made Confucianism a religious practice for all the Government officials. -

Rome had gotten really big. They conquered most of the countries around them. As time passed, the countries Rome wanted to conquer willingly gave their land. Due to this, Rome got larger with less work on their hands. -

The Persions were a people group that struggled to become an empire. But then leaders, like Cyrus the Great and Darius 1 came to power and then successfully turned Persia into one of the strongest empires in the ancient world. -

The geography in China helped with farming a lot. Geography never changes and even though there are less farmers around, the geography still helps China. -

The Persians were an uncivilized group that came together by a leader under the name Cyrus. Cyrus would always let the people he conquered keep their own customs, religions, and traditions. Because of this, religions like Judaism are still practiced. -

The Olympics started in Greece only for boys. Now we have taken the Olympics from the Greeks and turned into our own, more appropriate game. -
Chapter 10- Modern Day- Government
The Romans made up a government system that had three parts. Looking at that, America (U.S) took that idea and now has a three part government. -
Chapter 11- Modern Day- Christianity
Rome had let the Jews and Christians keep their own religion. Due to that, Judaism and Christianity are still around.
