Black Death arrives in Europe by sea in October 1347. Black Death was spread through Europe from trading goods that had contact of fleas that had rats blood in their system. It wiped out at least half of Europe. -

On October 31st, 1517 Martin Luther nailed the 95 theses on the front door of the Wittenberg Castle Church. The 95 theses basically said that the church needs to stop abusing their power. Such as indulgences. -

In search of fame and fortune, Magellan set out from Spain in 1519 with a fleet of five ships to discover a western sea route to the Spice Islands. He became the first European to cross the Pacific Ocean. He didn't actually complete his voyage. -

Pizaro invades the Inca Empire
In 1530, Pizarro returned to Panama. He led his army up the Andes Mountains, and on November 15, 1532, reached the Inca town of Cajamarca, where Atahuallpa was enjoying the hot springs in preparation for his march on Cuzco. Cuzco is the capital of his brother's kingdom. -

Copernicus publishes heliocentric theory
"Copernican heliocentric theory" is the name given to the astronomical model developed by Nicolaus Copernicus and published in 1543. It positioned the Sun near the center of the Universe. It made people who thought that the Earth was flat know that the Earth was the center of the Solar System. -
Jamestown, colony in Virginia, founded
On May 14, 1607, a group of roughly 100 members called the Virginia Company founded the first permanent English settlement in North America on the banks of the James River. Jamestown soon over populated and didn't have enough supplies. A lot of people died from starvation. -
