Constantinople was conquered by the Ottomans under the order of Mehmed II. Constantinople was imperial, and had been attacked before many times. However, the Ottomans finally broke down their walls. The conquest lasted nearly a month. -

Martin Luther
Martin Luther was a German monk and didn't like how the Roman church was abusing their power. He posted a 95 theses on the door of the Castle Church in Wittenburg, Germany. This theses included that the Bible is the religious authority and salvation can only be reached by faith, and not deeds. The 95 theses would be the start of the Protestant Reformation. -

Hernan Cortez led 450 soldiers to Mexico for gold. They found the Aztec capital on Lake Texaco and fought with the Aztecs until they surrendered. his conquest brought Mexico under Spanish rule. -

The Tokugawa Shogunate was the feudal military government in Japan from 1600-1868. They were regarded as the final period of Japanese traditional government. The primary goal of the military was to keep Christianity out of Japan. 300,000 Japanese Christians were persecuted. -
