    The years between 14th and 15th centuries formed a period of Western European history. This time had a social and cultural change and new ways of thinking.

    One way the Renaissance is thought to have lead European Reformation is a rise is a secularism. Secularism is a belief that religion should be kept secret and away from other religions.

    Patrons of the Arts

    A patron was someone who is hired to work for people and paint them whenever they needed. They were paid on a payroll. There was always a written contract before painting regarding how long it took and the pay. Lower artists had to hold this contract without breaking it because it could be the only way for people to know them and have a name for themselves.

    Some arts didn't stay for a long time as to where some artists stayed from 5 to 40 years. As to some famous painters Leonardo, Michaelangelo, and Raphel did stay for long periods of time. Those 3 artists would have never gotten famous without the Renaissance patrons.
