A Spanish ship carries the first boatload of African slaves to the Americas

The trade occured in Europe, Africa, Asia, and American continents. The Europeans carried manufactured goods like guns, cloth to Africa traded the goods for slaves. An esimate of 275,000 slaves were brought to America which then was called the Middle Passage, middle portion of the triangular trade route. Many slaves died because of disease and no medicine to cure. -
