    Dante is born

    Dante is and Italian philosopher and writer that was best known for the Devin Comedy.

    Renaissance

    During the Renaissance they had a population increase which renewed interest in their knowledge of trade. They increased mostly in Europe and the Middle East.
  • 1346

    Black Death

    Black Death showed up in Europe in 1346. It was passes along by fleas that where on rats. The population took a big hit because 50-60 percent of their population died.

    The Printing Press is Invented

    Johannes Gutenberg had invented the first printing press. The first book that was printed was the bible. The bible was written in German.

    Martin Luther is born

    Catholic monk who had issues with his faith. He made the 95 thesis.

    Christian Humanists

    They wanted simpler christian faith and they wanted to reform the church from within the church.

    John Calvin

    John Calvin converted to Protestantism when he was 25. He believed that the Catholic church had fallen to far from the tree.

    The Religious Reformation

    There where problems in the church and people didn't feel like their spiritual needs where being met.

    Pope Paul

    He realized that Protestantism needed to be countered. He looked and the Doctrine and practiced. He then tried to clarify it.

    Shakespeare is born

    Shakespeare was and English play righter. He is still well known today and many of his plays are still performed.
