Japan invades Manchuria for their land and resources. -

Thousands of Jewish Businesses were destroyed. One hundred of the Jews were killed. That is not all, twenty-six thousand Jews were sent to concentrtion camps. -
Britian and France
Britian and France declare war on Germany. They promised to protect Poland from Germany. Germany wanted to over take Poland, so that made these two countries work together to keep Poland safe. -

Germany invaded France. The next month France surrenders to Germany, -

President Roosevelt has been choosen to be president again, he thought it was a bad idea to leave his people when they were in the middle of a world war. -

Japan formed a military alliance with Germany and Italy, this alliance was known as the Axis Powers. -

Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin met to plan for post war peace. They discussed the re-establishment of the nations of war- torn Europe. -

President Roosevelt dies. So, vice president Harry Truman takes over. He did not know much about anything because Roosevelt did everything himself. -
Dead Man
Hitler commits suicide and he has people take his body and burn it so their is no eveidence of him. -

The formal end of the war in Europe! -
Cooperation within the Nations
Fifty countries met in San Francisco to encourage cooperation amoung nations, and to prevent future with one another. -
Hiroshima
President Truman got a group together to deside if we should bomb Japan. We bombed Hiroshima with no warning and eighty thousand were killed. -
Nagasaki
President Truman thought that Japan would surrender after eighty thousand people were killed, but they did not so, we let a second bomb off in Nagasaki and forty thousand people were killed. -
Japan finaly surrenders
After the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the many lives that were lost, Emperor Hirohito surrenders over the radio.
