    Marco Polo's main achievement was his journey on the silk road with his father in 1271. Over his time on the silk road, he traded and collected jewels, silk, and ivory. On his journy he also proved vhinas unique ways to use coal. Marco Polo opened europes eyes that you could also trade with the far east. Marco Polo kept a journal wuth him and wrote eveyrthing he did in it throughout his journy.

    Hernando Cortes was ready to set sail to mexico when Velázquez told him not to go, Cortes ignored his orders, Cortes and 200 men set sail. When reaching the mexican coast, he made friends with native american tribes around mexico. He later conquered the aztecs. In April 1520, Velázquez sent an expedition to capture Cortés. Cortes left to fight the expedition,As he left an aztec revolt began. Cortes later returned to obglide and face the crowd but the aztec leader was struck with a stone and died

    Armed with 200 men and 3 ships in 1531, he started his journey to what was his greatest achievement. Then in 1532 Pizarro finally reached Cajamarca and conquered the Incas city, the former Emperor of Inca offered a lot gold to the Captain for his release. Then in 1535, Francisco Pizarro founded the Lima, Peru and called the city Ciudad de los Reyes, The City of the kings.

    Cartier was a French explorer in the early 1500s. He made three trips to North America between 1534 and 1542. He sailed up the St. Lawrence River in Canada. His explorations enabled France to claim land in Canada. However, North American indian groups had lived there for thousands of years already. Cartier goes and claims land that belongs to the Haudenosaunee Indians! This early clash of American Indian and European land claims the long years of conflict ahead.

    Tycho made a lot of instruments and contributions to the world! Instruments built by Brahe proved to be very helpful in accurate determinations of latitude and longitude. His groundbreaking contribution to lunar theory was his renowned discovery of the variation of the Moon’s longitude. He was born in 1546 and he died at the age of 54 in 1601.
