Schooling
Golding went to Bransenose Collage at Oxford for 2 years for science. He didn't want to study science but that was his fathers belief. In his 3rd year, he switched to the major of Literature. -
Poems
In the summer of 1934, Golding created Poems. Later on, he said it was juvenile but they were valuable. On May 1st, 1935, he graduated collage at Oxford Bachelor of Arts in English and with a diploma in Education. -
Work
Golding became an english teacher and philosophy at Bishop Wordsworth School in Salisbury. From 1935-1939, he was an actor, writer, producer in London. -
stopped working
William stopped teaching in 1940 because he Joined the Royal Army. He fought in submarines and planes until WW2 ended and he went back to teaching in 1945. -
Lord of the Flies
Golding published Lord Of The Flies in 1954, after being rejected 21 times. The book is about a group of boys left on an island after their plane crashed. It involves savagery and survival. -

Death
On June 6th, 1993, Golding died in Perreanarworthal, Cornwall, England. He died from a heart attack leaving behind wife, Ann Brookfield and their two children.
