Parents Divorce
When my parents divorced, I had a hard time without having my dad around everyday. Now, I have gotten used to not having him around all the time, but there are days when all I want is a hug from my dad. -
Moved to Colorado
My mom needed a fresh start, so she moved her and me to Colorado to live with cousins. -
Started Kindergarten at Heritage Christian School
This school became like my second family. I always felt comfortable around them and will always love them very much. I made lifelong friends there. -
Moved Back to Colorado
My older cousin, Kari, and her boyfriend, Nick, moved out to Colorado for a while, so my mom and I followed. -
Started New School at Hope Christian Academy
I started my new school the day after we arrived in school. That was difficult, but my new second grade teacher was so kind and comforting! I also learned that I could make new friends adn get to know other people. -
Moved Back to Iowa
My mom and I moved back to be closer to family, as did my cousin and her boyfriend. -
My Dad Remarried
It was hard having another woman in my life in this sense, but I was glad that my dad was happy. -
Best Friend Moved to Alabama

She was the first but not the only. Having my little cousins in my life brings such joy. It makes me realize how much I want children someday. -
