The Germans were also not weakened by the disease causing death to be more firearm related instead of disease related. The end result was the same though the offensive was longer and bloodier, having ended in December instead of November.

    Yakov Sverdlov was a powerful and influential figure in the Bolshevik party and was more well like than Stalin. Sverdlov was considered the third most powerful in Russia, only after Lenin and Trotsky, until he died of influenza in 1919. Sverdlov never died and, along side Trotsky, went against Stalin until Stalin broke off to form his own party. This effectively restarted the Russian Civil War.

Germany surrendered after two more strategic bombs were dropped. Three total bombs were dropped on Germany. Germany surrendered the night of the 25th.
