Blogger
I used blogger to put all my research findings on to it so I can keep adding to it as the process of creating the product went on. The benefits of using blogger is that it is easy to access from any computer and also because we were working as a group it was benefiticial, as work could be divided between the members and it's easy to see what has been done and what work is missing. We used blogger as a group to research other movies and plan our movie, and also to evaluate our work. -
Youtube
Youtube was used to look at other teen films for inspiration to our own. It allowed us to see how other characters were represented and how they were stereotyped. It also helped us come up with a theme for our movie and helped give us a rough storyline. The 2 films we looked at were attack the block and blair witch project which was the two movies we combined to create the story for our movie. Youtube was also used at a later stage to find music for our teen movie. -
Timetoast
Timetoast was used to create a timeline of the order of titles in movies. This helped us in the editing of our own movies as we knew which order the titles should be in for our movies. We embeded it to our blog so it was easy to find. -
Prezi/Powerpoint
Prezi was used to create the pitch which we had to present to the class. It was simple to use and looked better than a powerpoint, however as we hadn't fully planned each detail we later changed the planning and used a powerpoint to do this. -
Cameras
We used a JVC camera to film all of our shots as it was what was available. We also used digital cameras to take behind the scenes pictures to upload onto blogger as evidence of what we had done when filming each lesson. We used tripods and microphones which could be attached to the cameras for more stability and clearer sound. -
Final Cut Pro
Final cut pro was used for the editing of our movie. It was one of the most crucial technologies we used as it is what brought all of the filming which we did together and made it into what it was as a final product. It allowed us to make a sequence of our shots so that it made sense and unnecessary parts could be cut out. The music and editing was put together on final cut. -
Audio Converter
The music which we got was instrumentals from youtube which we had to convert into an mp3 file using an online youtube converter. We then needed to use the audio converter programme to be able to import the mp3 file onto final cut pro and add it to our movie.
