Death Camps were specifically meant to kill. Gas chambers disguised as showers would fit over 500 jews and kill them wihtin minutes. For all the dead bodies, there was a large crematorium to simply disintegrate all the corpses with no care. If prisoners did not die by gas chamber, they died by starvation, beatings, or disease. -
