Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act was passed by Congress on May 28, 1830, during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. The law authorized the president to negotiate with Indian tribes in the Southern United States for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for their ancestral homelands. -

Trail of Tears
The Indian Removal Act was a critical point in U.S. history. At the time of the act over 16000 Cherokee people had been ripped from their homes into prison camps. In the end, over 2000 Cherokee people had died during the removal. -

This was a war between America and Mexico over the state of Texas. The Mexicans eventually backed off and gave up the land to the Americans. -
Transcontinential Railroad
This had quite a bit of conflict. Some people say that it was a great idea to have railroads for faster transportation but others said that it was a bad idea. Even so, they had Chinese slaves build this railroad in harsh conditions in order to build this year afer year project.
