The Romans was the biggest empire at that time period and was just getting to big for the politic powers. Then soon they later was invaded by German Barbarians. -
WWI
WWI started because of the assignation of Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The Allies In this war were Britain, France, Russia, Italy and the United States. The Central Powers in this war included Germany, Austria-Hungry, Ottoman Empire, and Bulgaria. The Treaty of Versailles was the outcomes to end war. -
WWII
Started of with Britain and France VS Germany but the United States didn't join in until we were attacked by Japan, Pearl Harbor. There were 2 groups their was the Axis Powers that were Nazi Germany, Kingdom of Italy, and the Empire of Japan. The Allied Powers were United Kingdom, United States, Soviet Union, and China. -
NATO
NATO was created to help defend each other if they ever go to war. Belgium, Denmark, France, Canada, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, United Kingdom, and the United States were part of NATO. -
Fall of the Berlin Wall
The Berlin wall was created because people was fleeing to the west and to separate the East from the West. The East side of the wall was communist and the West was Democratic. After a while people just came together and they broke it down by hand and the guards didn't stop them. -
Cold War
The Cold War was a political rivalry between the Soviet Union and the United States. The creation of NATO to help settle down the cold war.
