    Watercolor
This mixed media piece of artwork measuring at 5 7/8" x 4" was just one type of artwork made famous by American artist Fritzie Abadi. While this painting is abstract, there are elements of cubism with the focal point being the eyes and nose. The square around the eyes and nose draws the viewers eyes to that point. The use of the neutral color background makes the bright colors pop off the page.
Abadi was born in Syria in 1915 but moved to New York at the age of nine.

    Untitled
This oil on canvas painting measuring at 18 x 24 inches by Mary Abbott is abstract, but sensual in a way. Being untitled makes the viewer form their own opinion on what is happening in the painting. The focal point seems to be the light area between the black and red, purples, and grays. Mary Abbott was born in 1921 and lived to be 98 before her death in 2019. She was also one of the last living people who were in the forefront of the Abstract Expressionist movement, that is until her death.
