    During this time, the American sailors were being seized by the British. Many of the nation's men and navy were recruited. The purpose of this was to get the men and people to forcefully serve in the navy. This was the start of the war that led in 1812.

    The Proclamation involved the settlement between the issues of Great Britian and France. Both Countries were in war because the French troops were taking too much land from the Europeans. The purpose of this proclamation was to allow and ensure for the United States to be safe and stay out of war.

    The Jay Treaty was a settlement between the two countries, Britain and the U.S. The significance of this treaty was to expand and grow the economic resources and good between the states.
  • Washington's Farewell Address

    Washington's Farewell Address
    This address allowed the Americans to make amends and a settlement dispute between the foreign nations. This address reminded the people of the great important of the country and to remains neutral and not get entangled in political disputes.
  • Chesapeake- Leopard Affair

    Chesapeake- Leopard Affair
    This was a small battle on the coast of Norfolk, Virginia between the British and the Americans. Sitr George Berkely was in charge and Ordered for the Americans to board the British ships. the purpose of this affair was to simply seek revenge from the British.
  • Embargo Act

    The Embargo act was led by President George Washington. It was an attempt to get the American ships from trading in the foreign ports. (Preferably the French and British Ports). Many of the British were seizing the AMerican ships which caused this embargo act to happen. The purpose of this was to stop the seizing. Though it did not work in Washington insisted that it still should be tried. But because of this act many people were unemployed, poor, and many of the Markest were destroyed.

    The War Hawks were basically young people that hailed from the west to the South. This so called "War Hawks" were one of the influences of the War on Great Britain. Their purpose was to spread the influence of the war.

    Chief Tecumseh was a Shawnee Indian chief, and also a military leader. He was simply an activist for his native people and wanted to get revenge on the Americans for treating is people wrong. This eventually led to the War.

    During this time Chief Tecumseh decided to join the British and fight against the Americans. During this war he was a big ally and help towards the British. But then he soon died, and his body was shredded by the Americans of the War.

    On this day June 17, 1812 the war had begun. the senate had approved its request declaring the war on Great Britain. There had to be votes to sign it off and both the Senate and Representatives voted. Th War Hawks were involved and the people wanted to gain territorial land, but it ended up being unsuccessful.

    These were meetings held in Hartford, Connecticut and were concerns of the progression of the War. This convention Alesia expressed the hurt and grievances of the war.

    The Treaty of Ghent was an agreement that established peace and ended the war in 1814.It made victory for the U.S and both nations decided to put an end to the slave trade. Both nations agreed. Later these nations Britain and the U.S formed an alliance.
  • Battle of New Orleans

    Battle of New Orleans
    The Battle of New Orleans was one of the last battles fought. British had attempted to attack the Americans, but this was very unsuccessful. Many of the British men were taken out by the Americans and sought to have their victory.
