What: Tecumseh Movement Who: Tecumseh, Tenskwatawa, and William Henry Harrison When: November 1811 Where: Prophetstown and by the Tippecanoe River How: The movement happened because the Native Americans believed their land was being taken from them and decided to unite against America. Why: This showed that the natives were supported by the British and caused many Southerners and Westerners to vote for the war. -

Why: This event ultimately showed that our capital could be harmed and that our nation needed to be better guarded otherwise other attacks may come. -
