The US has a big victory. Prior to this, the British had many of the victories. The Creek Indians and US became allies. -
Treaty of Fort Jackson
After many bloody battles, a treaty is signed. The US and Creek nation sign peace treaty. This took place at Fort Jackson. -
War Ends
Treaty of Ghent signed to end war. On December 24, 1814, the long war of 1812 ended. News did not reach the US very quickly. It was not until February of 1815.
