Battle of Lacolle Mills
Major General Henry Dearborn lead a force of 600 men to fight British forces of 530 lead by Major Charles de Salaberry. Five Americans were killed and 5 wounded. American lost that battle. -
Burning of York
Lead by Major General Henry Dearborn on board the USS Madison, the American troops attacked the Canadian capitol of York. The British, who were working on making a base there as well, were lead by Sir Roger Hale Sheaffe. Fifty-five Americans dead, 265 wounded. Americans retreated, but not before setting fire to the capitol. -
Burning Down the White House
The British torched the White House after a minor battle against the Americans to fight them. They burned it in retaliation against America for burning the Canadian capital of York. They also burned it to humilate Madison. -
War of New Orleans
The Americans seized New Orleans after the Treaty of Ghent was signed and the war was over. The Americans hadn't recieved news of this, so they attacked. They didn't recieve the news until a month later.
