13th Amendment
This is an important event because it's the day slavery was abolished. Slaves were no longer slaves they were treated they were treated like normal people. -
15th Amendment
The 15th Amendment gave all male the right to vote which also lead to future problems such as equality between genders. For example, woman were not allowed to vote. -

These laws lead to increased voting rights because African - Americans were not given equal rights. Many felt they were treated un-equally -
Supreme Court Rules That Literacy Tests Are Constitutional
This event lead to future events such as problems dealing with poll taxes. This is because of the different requirements dealing with voting rights. -
Supreme Court Declares "Grandfather Clause" Unconstitutional.
This event is important because "these laws required voters to prove their grandfather could vote. But, most African - American's grandparents were slaves." This event was a relief to people because theses laws were no longer required. -
19th Amendment
This events increased voting rights because woman were given the right to vote. By doing this there isn't a specific gender that could vote, anyone of any gender were allowed to vote. -
Supreme Court Rules That Poll Taxes Are Constitutional
This event lead to racism because poll taxes was a requirement for anyone voting. Some Southern States had poll taxes in order to prevent African - Americans from voting. -
