Constitution is ratified
As a result of the constitutions being ratified white males that own property have the right to vote -
Religious qualifications dropped
Last religious prerequisite for voting is eliminated -
Property requirements dropped
Eliminated tax by property ownershipeliminated and made it so that almost all adult white males could vote. -
15th Amendment
The 15th Amendment made it so that black people could vote could vote. -
19th Amendment
The 19th amendment said that women could vote in all elections. -
23rd Amendment
The 23rd amendment gave residents of Washington DC the right to vote for representatives. -
24th Amendment
The 24th amendment prohibited any poll tax in elections for federal officials. -
Voting Rights Act of 1965
Voting Rights Act of 1965 was an act made to enforce the fifteenth amendment. Which gave African American men the right to vote. -
26th Amendment
The 26th amendment lowered the voting age from twenty-one to eighteen. It allowed younger people to vote.
